If you can read this post without any problem then please ignore it. If you couldn’t but took the hint from the title well done.

There has been a problem with people reading the actually posts for the last few days, hopefully this should now be sorted. Thanks to Jan for pointing this out to me

We had a great weekend at Flamborough. There was a great group of people. Richard and Mary held a BBQ this morning and we all got together and ate sausages and burgers. Naughty girl Jak went around with the baileys – at 10am, how John copes we will never know lol.
We spent a while talking to Mark and Toni who are getting married soon in Nottingham but we pursuaded them to re-inact the whole thing again at Southport when about 50 of us are meeting up.
Jamie and Maria turned up who had travelled from The Isle of Man on route to a long trip around Europe. All in it was a very enjoyable weekend and we can’t wait for the next one

I think we got the wrong impression somehow. We thought Flamborough Head was right next to the beach but although you can see the sea in the distance its a good half hour walk sadly.
We set off yesterday afternoon, our first real trip in the RV since Duncan of www.starspangledspanner.co.uk serviced her. She drove superbly, reaching speed with smoothness and without effort.
The first problem we had was the satnav, it would not work, I think because the battery had gone flat. Neither did we have a map but I had checked the route out on autoroute and as it happens it was quite easy, straight across country to Bridlington and then out further to Flamborough.
The site itself is totally isolated and surrounded by fields and trees. There is a CCC club pitching on another field so it is motorhomes galore. In the distance there is the church and last night we popped into the village in John’s car to get fish and chips. A group of us then sat chatting through the night.
It amazes me at how small a world it is. Janet, Greenasthegrass on MHF turns out to live near the brother of one of the couples we have got to know at Selby, this happens over and over again we find as we travel about.

Its been a busy week but today we have a wedding to photograph this morning and then its off to the beach for the weekend. We are meeting up with a group of friends, Jessica has her new bucket and spade which we bought from Wilkinsons. That was a laugh, I had a gap in doing jobs so I thought I would nip in and buy it.As I arrived at the car park so did Shona and Jessica. This was a total coincidence.
We then went into Wilkinsons an discovered their trollies have a pull handle, ideal for a little girl to use so Jessica proudly pulled it around the shop.

Only had time for a short post this morning as there was much to do. The morning was spent doing some deliveries and then it was back for some lunch before I came “out of retirement” to do some selling. Shona has been doing most of recently but was starting to struggle a bit so I thought it best to get out. Finished up booking 9 sittings, 8 for tomorrow and 1 for Monday.
This Friday I have a wedding in Selby to photograph which should be fun and then its off to the East coast for the weekend. We are really looking forward to it.

I saw on a www.motorhomefacts.com a thread about housesitting. This would seem a great occupation for a fulltimer and I just wondered if anyone had any involvement and would like to comment

Its that day of the year again – commercialisation or a fun day?

I awoke to see a card on my laptop from little Jessica – she knows where to find me lol. Not sure if I will hear from the others as they are all so busy and we are so far away. Talking of offspring we are looking forward to seeing Daniel in July as he is coming to see us for a couple of weeks. He moved yesterday as it is the ned of his uni year and so he had to leave his campus lodgings. He is now living in a house in Canterbury, sharing with three girls, the crafty chappy.

Between sun and rain we have spent the day doing more body repairs. Today it was the turn of the rear locker. The Americans choose not to use a screwdiver and prefer to staple things together and those in the rear locker have rusted away resulting in the bottom of the locker falling through. I used the jack to lift it back into place and then screws and angle brackets strengthened it all. Its now looking much better.
